Jonathan Anderson, fresh off his Dior creative director debut in Paris last month, employed a fleet of heart emojis in response to seeing one of his looks on the red blue carpet at this weekend’s Smurfs premiere in Los Angeles.
As expected, Rihanna, joined by her and ASAP Rocky’s two sons RZA and Riot, hit the carpet for Sunday’s proceedings. In addition to contributing the track “Friend of Mine” to the soundtrack, the Anti artist and Savage X Fenty founder voices Smurfette in the Chris Miller-directed animated film.
For the family-focused day out, RiRi opted to dress both children in Dior, though it’s Riot’s look that’s gotten the bulk of the attention.
Riot, Rihanna and Rocky’s second child together, rocked a key look from Anderson’s debut Dior collection. Anderson himself was especially fond of the look making its way to Sunday’s blue carpet premiere, as evidenced by the multiple Instagram updates he dedicated to commemorating the moment.
“Riot and RZA just the cutest,” he wrote in one update, as seen below. “The best.”
As for Smurfs, that’ll be hitting theaters this Friday. Joining Rihanna in the voice cast are John Goodman, Nick Offerman, Octavia Spencer, Maya Erskine, and more.
Back in May, Rihanna teased fans with promise of “a cheeky summer,” joking at the time that she was “playing ‘hide the baby bump’” during a Savage X Fenty campaign shoot starring none other than herself. She and Rocky, meanwhile, are currently expecting their third child together.
ComplexCon returns to Las Vegas on October 25–26, 2025, with over 300 brands and live performances by Young Thug, YEAT & Friends, Peso Pluma, Central Cee, Ken Carson, and more. Get your tickets now.
