UPDATE: September 14, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. ET— Taylor Swift made a truly groundbreaking entrance at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on Sunday evening, and we’re not speaking hyperbolically. Swift allegedly entered behind a rolling partition, according to videos taken in the tunnel. (See them here.)
Prior to kickoff, however, FOX Sports released a brand new interview with Travis Kelce, catching up with the NFL player ahead of the team’s first home game of the season. Of course, reporter and friend Erin Andrews seized the opportunity to ask about his recent engagement.
“[Taylor] has brought excitement and a joy for life that made me a better man, made me a better person, and made me just that much more comfortable in who I am,” Kelce said in one clip from the interview, admitting his “palms were definitely sweating” before popping the question.
“I’m an emotional guy, so there were a few tears here and there,” he continued. “But it’s been an exciting ride up to this day, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.”
ORIGINAL STORY—Are you ready for Taylor Swift’s first NFL game of the season? If not, you might want to get ready.
On September 14, the Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles at Arrowhead Stadium, marking their first home game of the season and their first game against the Eagles since losing to them at the 2025 Super Bowl. It’s not a game any fan would want to miss, let alone Travis Kelce’s own fiancé. But will the pop star be in attendance?
Well, let’s take a look at Swift’s attendance record from last year’s regular season. Though she skipped all of last year’s away games due to scheduling conflicts and alleged security concerns, the singer made it a point to cheer on her boyfriend from the Arrowhead suites as much as possible. In fact, she only missed one home game for her final Eras Tour performance on December 8.
One scheduling conflict we could envision changing her pattern would be Selena Gomez’s wedding to Benny Blanco, which is rumored to take place sometime this month. So far, there haven’t been any hints that those nuptials are taking place this weekend.
A bigger question remains: What will Taylor Swift wear to games to mark her latest era? If Swift’s first football season was defined by vintage Chiefs merch and hand-knit game day accessories, her second season will be remembered as the year she embraced luxury designer labels and a touch of logo-mania.
With The Life of a Showgirl set to drop October 3, we can probably expect a fair amount of glitz and glamour, since orange isn’t exactly a Chiefs-approved color. Of course, we could see her continue to embrace the classic, preppy style she gravitated towards over the summer. Perhaps the most recent look she wore to a college football game ‘fit is the best hint at what’s to come.
