Bella Hadid and Adan Banuelos have called it quits.
A source told Entertainment Tonight that the couple split after about two years together and that Hadid, 29, is “doing her best to stay positive and distract herself” as she processes the breakup by leaning into work and close friendships.
The split comes not long after public signs that the relationship was still intact, including Banuelos, 36, sharing affectionate Instagram photos in October to mark their anniversary and Hadid’s birthday.
“October’s become a special month. It’s the month God sent you,” Banuelos wrote at the time. “Even with all the chaos and ugliness, He gave us something pure and beautiful. Love you, baby. I’ll keep reminding you every day just how much.”
TMZ previously reported that Hadid had embraced Texas life for the relationship, living full-time near Fort Worth, and had obtained video in October 2023 showing the couple kissing, hugging, and holding hands at the Fort Worth Stockyards.
Page Six also reports that the relationship had been on-again, off-again and “tumultuous,” with sources saying the pair also share business ties through the purchase of million-dollar horses, complicating the breakup.
The outlet first heard trouble was brewing in June, and by the end of December sources again indicated the relationship was over.
Hadid also reportedly spent the holidays in Aspen with friends without Banuelos.
The former couple began dating in late 2023 after meeting at a horse show in Fort Worth.
“I saw him walk in and it was like a gust of fresh air,” Hadid told British Vogue last May. “He’s the youngest Mexican cowboy to ever be inducted into the Hall of Fame. He works for his family, he works for his customers and he works to hopefully build a home and a family one day.”
Early in the romance, she moved into his fifth-wheel trailer and later bought a home in Texas.
Banuelos, a highly successful rodeo star inducted into the National Cutting Horse Association Riders Hall of Fame at 28, previously spoke warmly about Hadid.
In a 2024 episode of the Along for the Ride podcast, Banuelos said, “This young lady is one of the kindest, biggest-hearted and sweet person I’ve ever met. I mean I didn’t know God made ’em like that.”
