New Balance is celebrating the debut of two new WRPD runner colourways available exclusively at Foot Locker alongside a global campaign starring NBA Champion Jamal Murray.
As an athlete paving his own path on and off the court, Jamal Murray was a seamless choice for the WRPD runner campaign. Throughout his time in the NBA, Murray has developed into one of the league’s best guards and crunch-time performers, claiming the sport’s ultimate prize in 2023.
The WRPD runner has also had a big run over the last 12 months. As one of the latest creations from New Balance’s renowned senior footwear designer Charlotte Lee, the silhouette has soared in popularity since its debut last August.
The shoe is rooted in FuelCell performance and design and pays homage to New Balance’s running heritage while simultaneously being packaged in a new, sleek design. The two new colourways, Linen/Sea Salt/Dolce and Grey/Concrete/Sea Salt, launched at select Footlocker stores on October 1.
Offering a new perspective on familiar ideas, the WRPD Runner takes the building blocks of some of New Balance’s most successful runners and places them in a new context that allows the innovation to shine while remaining wonderfully simple.
