When looking for the right Android smartwatch, some factors hold more weight than others. These are the ones we took the most stock in during our testing process.
Form Factor and Fit: Depending on your wrist size and proportions watches will fit differently. You may want a smaller watch display or a larger one. Is a square or circular watch more appealing? How lightweight do you want it to be? These are the first questions to answer.
Aesthetics: How a watch looks is very important. That thing is on your wrist all day (and maybe even all night if you use it for sleep monitoring) so you better like to look at it. After figuring out your form factor preferences, it’s time to start looking at the bezels and colorways on offer from your top picks.
Display: As tech reviewers, screen quality is one of the most important things you can find in a watch. The current standard for smartwatches is AMOLED. Settling for anything less than this is a mistake.
Waterproof Rating: When it comes to smartwatches, we are looking for an IP Rating of at least IP68, which equates to the best dust protection offered and a submergibility of up to 50 meters. Garmin uses a different rating system (ATMs) to determine water resistance. At 5 ATMS, the Venu 3 is also submergible up to 50 meters.
