While many are still immersed in the flat shoe monopoly, there are celebrities like Anne Hathaway who resist and continue to opt for heels. This is logical. Despite the prevailing trends that advocate comfort with every step, not all occasions call for a flat. While attending Gigi Hadid’s 30th birthday party with her husband Andrew Shulman, the 42-year-old actor chose a white mini dress topped with a baby blue faux leather jacket, which she combined with a pair of silver heeled sandals and matching Bvlgari bag. Although she was clearly heading to a party, it is super easy to imagine this spring outfit at a wedding, communion, baptism or any type of celebration during this season of events (of course, wedding guests would have to switch out the color of the dress).
Even taking into account the success that is the whole look in general, the element that shone the most of the whole outfit were her shoes: a towering open toed sandal, which relied on a platform to elevate comfort, as well as an ankle strap that provided greater support with each step.
A silver sandal is always a win—and they don’t have to fit these characteristics specifically. They can be lower in height, with different details in their structure, or even without a platform.
