Denzel Washington playfully robbed ASAP Rocky for his watch during a recent interview and refused to give it back.

On Friday (August 22), the Highest 2 Lowest co-stars sat down with the film’s director, Spike Lee, for an episode of GQ’s ‘Epic Conversations.’ Around the 7:30-minute mark in the video above, Rocky asked Lee about a “dolly shot” from his 1998 sports drama He Got Game, at which point Washington let his impulsive thoughts win and he took Rocky’s watch off.

“Yo! I’m getting robbed by Denzel right now!” Rocky laughed.

“That watch is gone; you know that right?” Lee said.

“You can take him outta New York, you can’t take the New York out of him, yo. You dig? It looks better on you anyway, OG.”

While Lee joked that he hoped the watch didn’t fit, Washington successfully put it on and flashed it towards the camera.

The moment was one of many playful banters between Washington and Rocky during the interview. At an earlier point, the rapper said that he’s always been told he looks like the two-time Academy Award winner.

“My whole life, like, my mother gassed me up and told me I look like this man,” Rocky said. After Rocky said he’d be a “trillionaire” if he’d been given a penny for how many times he’s been compared to Washington, the actor joked about being his biological father, saying, “So mom, should we tell him?”

In an interview with Complex‘s Jillian Superstar, Washington said he “didn’t see” that he and Rocky resembled each other.
