The internet can’t stop debating who has better jewelry: rappers or athletes? But does it really matter? All of those diamonds are still dancin’ and the craftsmanship these jewelers are putting into their custom pieces is incredible. We should enjoy all of it.

In February 2025, we got introduced to another anime-inspired chain, a new take on a hip-hop staple, the latest work from a world-renowned artist, and more.

Check out our picks for the top 5 jewelry purchases of February 2025, below.

Jeweler: AJ’s Jewelry

This isn’t your father’s New York Yankees anymore. Not only is the team allowed to have facial hair now, some of its star players are showing up to the Spring Training photo day with diamond-encrusted pendants around their necks. More specifically, we are talking about infielder Jazz Chisholm’s One Piece chain. Chisholm has always been known as one of the most fun and flashy guys in the MLB, so we are glad to see him stay true to that in the pinstripes. Even though he’s playing in New York now, surrounded by some of the best jewelers in the world, the former Miami Marlin went back to AJ’s Jewelry in Florida for this one. That’s loyalty.

Jeweler: A Jewellers

Italian designer Domenico Formichetti has been making plenty of waves in the fashion world with his luxury streetwear brand PDF. This past month, he decided to try his hand at designing his first piece of custom jewelry. He hit up Europe’s top jeweler, and Central Cee’s go-to, A Jewellers. The piece features a PDF graffiti tag spelled out in diamonds atop a plate of multicolored gem bricks. It hangs from a chain that also incorporates colorful brick links. Flipping the pendant around reveals the quote, “I’ll never stop trying to reach the top cause I remember how the bottom felt.” Not bad for his first chain. We hope Formichetti keeps adding to his jewelry case.

Jeweler: Alex Moss

Japanese hip-hop artist JP The Wavy celebrated his new single “LV Murakami” by getting a chain designed by the legendary contemporary artist. The necklace was executed by Alex Moss. It features the trippy face of Murakami’s JP The Wavy character hanging from a ball-bead chain accented with the Japanese artist’s signature flowers. Hand-painted enamel and 13 different colors of gemstones were used to replicate the colorful artwork. Yet another amazing piece, courtesy of Moss.

Jeweler: Eliantte

We know that everyone probably expected the “a minor” chain to make the cut, but we actually preferred what Kendrick Lamar wore to the Grammys. He accepted his awards for Record of the Year and Song of the Year during the broadcast with a timeless Jesus piece around his neck. As if the stage lighting didn’t have the diamonds shimmering enough, they looked even crazier with Kendrick’s much calmer Canadian tuxedo and white tee as the backdrop.

Jeweler: Benny The Jeweler

Saquon Barkley will get much more meaningful jewelry for his ring finger in a few months, but the superstar running back still made sure to have some ice ready to go after the Eagles’ destruction of the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. He stepped out for the postgame celebration in New Orleans sporting a new chain from one of New York City’s hottest jewelers right now, Benny The Jeweler. It showcased a “26” pendant to match his jersey number and featured 200 carats of VVS fancy shape diamonds. There is a friendly battle going on in the Eagles locker room right now. This piece gave Jalen Hurts’ viral design a run for its money.
