In partnership with the American Red Cross, fashion company Siegelman Stable makes it stylish to donate blood.
The American Red Cross “Drop for Drop” program is a collaborative fashion series that marks the fourth city where the Red Cross wanted to create a fashionable experience to motivate an absent generation of blood donors to participate in a blood drive.
The “Drop for Drop” program is holding a blood drive in Nashville on Sept. 14, where limited edition Red Cross x Siegelman Stable hats will be given out. With a red and black color scheme, the hats will be gifted to those who attend the immersive fashion experience and blood drive at the Ruby, across from Vanderbilt University, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 200 collaborative hats will be available.

Previous events have been held in Atlanta, Los Angeles, and New York City, where more than 1,000 blood donations have been collected. This success comes roughly four years after blood donations were paused during the pandemic in 2020, where high school and college on-campus events and classes were halted in exchange for virtual learning.
“Young people have tremendous power to help save lives now and build a generation of blood donors for the future. While we experienced a small increase in this age group in 2022, there is still much room for growth to return to pre-COVID levels of young blood donors,” stated Darren Irby, executive director of brand and partnerships for the American Red Cross.
“Building a sustainable blood supply is critical to meeting the needs of patients today, tomorrow and beyond. One in seven people walking into the hospital will need a blood transfusion and it’s the blood on the shelf that saves lives. The blood is only there because someone took to the time to roll up a sleeve and give. While fashion and blood donation make not seem to connect, the Red
Cross is committed to reaching and motivating new audiences who have maybe never considered blood donation before.”
