J. Cole was spotted wearing a piece from the adidas x Willy Chavarria collaboration during his recent interview with Nadeska Alexis on Apple Music.

The Dreamville rapper appeared in a heavyweight white hoodie from the collection, a clean, oversized piece that immediately stood out, not just for its minimal aesthetic, but because that specific colorway hasn’t been widely released. At the moment, the black version of the hoodie is the only one confirmed to be available on various resale sites, and no hoodies at all are listed on Chavarria’s own website.

This isn’t the first time Cole has leaned into Chavarria’s adidas designs. Throughout his recent Trunk Tour, he’s been consistently seen wearing pieces from the collaboration, most notably the blue adidas Men Woven Track Pants. The repeated wear suggests a genuine affinity for the line rather than a one-off styling moment.

Cole’s fashion approach has long been rooted in simplicity and intention, which aligns naturally with Chavarria’s design language. The designer is known for blending high-fashion tailoring with streetwear influences, often drawing from his Mexican-American heritage and working-class upbringing in California.

Since launching his label in 2015, Chavarria has built a strong reputation in menswear, earning back-to-back CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year awards in 2023 and 2024, while also serving in a senior design role at Calvin Klein.

The adidas collaboration has further amplified his reach, bringing that perspective into a global sportswear space. And with Cole continuing to wear pieces from the collection across interviews and performances, the partnership is clearly resonating beyond traditional fashion circles.
