The Pharrell Williams-founded auction house Joopiter is hosting an auction featuring one-of-one prototypes and collaborations designed by iconic fashion designer Kim Jones.
The auction, titled The World of Kim Jones, boasts a large collection of one-of-a-kind pieces and exceedingly rare collaborations, including sneakers designed for Dior and Nike Air Jordan, and a Louis Vuitton and Supreme monogram carpet. The pieces are taken from Jones’ personal collection, with all the proceeds going to the international conservation charity, World Land Trust.
“Upon reading the sobering news that the world’s wild vertebrate population has declined by 73% since 1970, I felt compelled to take action,” said Jones. “Through JOOPITER’s global auction platform, I am auctioning some of my most cherished pieces in support of the World Land Trust, helping to protect critical ecosystems for future generations—a cause that has always been deeply important to me.”
Highlights from the collection include a pair of 0001 of 85000 Dior x Nike Air Jordan 1 High Sneakers, a Dior x Travis Scott tan leather double saddle bag, and an untitled painting from Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama. Other pieces were produced in collaboration with Fendi, Hylton Nel, Amoako Boafo, Maison martin Margiela, and Helmut Lang. The auction will run on Joopiter’s website from February 27 to March 11 here.
