The 2025 Met Gala has come to a close, but we cannot stop thinking of all of the amazing looks that graced the Met steps last night.
We saw Black dandyism and fine tailoring reimagined in incredible ways that ranged from Teyana Taylor’s pinstriped “Harlem Rose” ensemble to Lewis Hamilton’s elegant Wales Bonner look. There were amazing surprise reveals from Colman Domingo, Janelle Monáe, and Damson Idris. We even had show-stealing moments from legends like Diana Ross.
While some looks left a lot to be desired or were just plain bad, these celebrity/designer combos wowed us as soon as they arrived.
These are our picks for the top 15 looks of Met Gala 2025.
Designer: Prada
Bad Bunny kept things simple with a brown double-breasted suit. It let his accessories like embellished gloves, wire-framed shades, and a slick leather bowling bag shine.
Designer: Tommy Hilfiger
That F1 marketing budget must be crazy. Damson Idris’ big reveal made for one of the most memorable moments of the night, but it sort of outshined the actual look.
Designer: Hanifa
Her husband was a late scratch for the festivities. The Queen of the All-Star Met Gala Game put up an incredible solo performance in his absence.
Designer: Marc Jacobs
Her mother was also true showstopper, but Tracee Ellis Ross still had an amazing Met Gala 2025 look of her own. While many guests opted for black and white, she added a much-needed pop of color to the carpet with her exaggerated take on the zoot suit. And just look at that bow.
Designer: Ugbad Abdi
A perfect execution of the theme and a lovely homage to Andre Leon Talley. The 80,000 crystals and 600-plus hours it took to make her pinstripe suit were worth it.
Designer: Boss
The king of TikTok was on perfect timing in his custom pinstripe suit.
Designer: Chanel
It’s no surprise Jennie of Blackpink showed up in full-on, head-to-toe Chanel. The K-Pop idol has been a Chanel global ambassador for over six years. Her jumpsuit paired with a dramatic overskirt was one of her most memorable power looks to date.
Designer: Wales Bonner
Lewis Hamilton took P8 at the Miami Grand Prix on Sunday. He took P8 at the Met Gala on Monday. A man of consistency.
Designer: Ugo Omozie
She stole the show with her breathtaking entrance. Her 18-foot train featured amazing embroidery of the names of her children and grandchildren. Zendaya even sped through her arrival to make sure she had her proper moment. An icon.
Designer: Robert Wun
Robert Wun has done it again. This time, it was with country star Shaboozey. The turquoise grills to match all of the beaded chains around his torso was a great touch. Not a bad way to make your Met Gala debut.
Designer: Valentino
We all knew that Colman Domingo was going to absolutely kill this year’s Met Gala theme. He lived up to the hype with not one but two looks. A blue cape paying homage to Andre Leon Talley’s 2011 Met Gala ensemble was even removed to reveal an incredible checkered suit accented with pearls and a polka dot flower on the lapel.
Designer: Willy Chavarria
Getting to wear your own design to the Met Gala is already enough of a flex, but when you look this cool doing it, that’s even more impressive. The pink zoot suit. The turquoise tie. The gold chains. The red leather gloves holding a bouquet of roses. No notes. Willy absolutely killed this one.
Designer: Thom Browne
Janelle Monáe has been embracing tailoring and dandyism for years. This isn’t just a one-night thing for her. So, to no surprise, she came correct. Not only did she give us one of the night’s best reveals when she stepped out of a covering that featured a sketch of her suit, she also provided us with some fun accessories like her monocle.
Designer: Marc Jacobs
The look we all patiently wait for every single year was memorable once again. Not only did Rihanna stun in her custom Marc Jacobs suit, she also showed off her new baby bump. Even though we have her ranked No. 2, don’t get it twisted. Rihanna is still the Met Gala GOAT.
Designer: Teyana Taylor and Ruth E. Carter
Now this is how you execute a theme. From her David Yurman diamond necklace to her embroidered “Harlem Rose” cape, Teyana Taylor truly embodied Black dandyism at the highest level. She also designed it herself with the help of legendary costume designer Ruth E. Carter. This one gets perfect 10s across the board.
