Selena Gomez is taking a timely look back with the new Throwback collection, which charts her journey from Barney & Friends to Wizards of Waverly Place to Spring Breakers.
Barney & Friends, of course, is where it all began for Gomez, who can currently be seen in the latest season of Hulu’s wildly successful Only Murders in the Building alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short. With Wizards of Waverly Place, Gomez, whose time on the Disney Channel hit was complemented with a trio of albums from her band The Scene, became a generational star.
Then, in 2012, Gomez joined Kids and Gummo director Harmony Korine for a proper pivot in the James Franco-featuring Spring Breakers. Talks of a sequel have persisted ever since, leading up to this May’s official announcement, albeit without the inclusion of Gomez or anyone else from the original cast.
Below, we break down everything you need to know about the Selena Gomez Throwback Collection.
