It’s been a little over three years since The Bear premiered and changed both the definition of the word “comedy” (at least, as far as the Emmys are concerned) and the world of white tee shirts. The show, a veritable showcase for some of the coolest menswear on the planet, started an artisanal white tee craze. If you’ve found yourself setting stock notifications for Merz B. Schwanen or Whitesville tees in your size over the last couple of years, you have the show (and costume designer Courtney Wheeler) to blame.

Season 4 once again put a spotlight on a plain white tee (no Delilah)—but it isn’t on Carmy’s back. It’s a lot more affordable—and for that matter, more readily available—than the $100 hero tees he’s kept in his rotation since 2022.

The deeply stealable tee this time around is worn by Ayo Edibiri’s Sydney, who’s sticking with a silhouette from Everybody.World called the Tailored Trash Tee. The brand makes some of the best basics in the game, and Sydney’s new favorite is a prime example: Goldilocks-weight 6.5oz. cotton and sleeves just narrow enough to let ’em know you’re putting in the hours during arm day. Like the loopwheeled beauties Carmy is so fond of, it’s got a slim fit and a crop, though the collar is a bit thicker than his usual suspects.

And here’s the thing: Everybody.World prides itself on not only quality, but transparency—and Sydney’s Tailored Trash Tee is a prime example. The name isn’t just a clever pun; the T-shirt is crafted from 100-percent reclaimed waste cotton and made using a sustainable North America-based supply chain run out of a fair-wage factory in Los Angeles.

Whenever a piece on The Bear steals the spotlight, a “Notify Me When Available” button gets its wings, and the Tailored Trash tee is no exception. A few sizes have been going in and out of stock on the Everybody.World site at this exact moment, but the brand promises GQ that reinforcements will stay coming. (And the other three core colors have full size runs available.) Even still, the Tailored Trash tee remains easier to track down than Carmy’s famed tees, and it’s half the price, at $44.

Which means you can grab a few and really start cooking.
