The inaugural GQ Bowl fashion show showcasing the Spring 2025 Bode Rec. collection was a freaking good time packed with rewatchable moments including toasts to the fusion of sports and fashion, some revealing red carpet interviews, and a soulful performance by Leon Bridges.

Alvin Kamara gives love to an NBA style god.

The Saints running back is one of the only players in the NFL who rocks dangly face jewelry under his helmet, but he’s not concerned about it getting jostled around during a game. “You gotta do some digging [to rip it out],” he told GQ Bowl co-host Mina Kimes. Kamara is unquestionably one of the most swaggy players in the league, but when asked for his most stylish athlete of all-time, he shouted out a player from a different sport: NBA star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. “He don’t stick to any norms, he just do his thing!”

Joe Burrow explains his viral backless suit.

Over the summer, the world’s best-dressed quarterback walked in the Vogue World Paris Show wearing a backless suit. Speaking with GQ Bowl co-host Victor Cruz on the green carpet, he broke down the genesis of the Peter Do look. “I showed up to the fitting and they gave me two options: one didn’t have a back and one had a back. I was like, ‘Yeah, why not? I’m cool with it. Let’s go.’”

Leon Bridges kicks off the fashion show.

The crooner opened the fashion show portion of the evening with a tender rendition of his song “River.” His one-of-a-kind voice filled the cathedral attached to the Hotel Peter & Paul, providing the perfect vibe for a night of understated elegance. As the models hit the runway, he transitioned into “Ain’t Got Nothing On You” which begins with a fashion-forward lyric: “I like my stonewash denim with the long crease in ‘em and my snakeskin boots.” What better way to soundtrack a brand new fashion line being seen for the first time.

The first-look at Bode’s spring line!

Gorgeous gowns and striking suits shared the runway with mesh athletic wear and the debut of Bode’s new green colorway for the Astro Grabbers, one of the hottest shoes out. It wasn’t just models strutting their stuff either. Kamara and his fellow NFL standouts Ja’Marr Chase, Kayvon Thibodaux, Cee Dee Lamb, and Ray-Ray McLoud all graced the runway as well, proving that their athletic prowess translates seamlessly to the runway.
