Nigo and Nike have announced their latest sneaker collaboration. This time they’re bringing in Undercover founder and longtime Swoosh collaborator Jun Takahashi for a new Air Force 1 project.
Dubbed “LO2,” this Nigo x Nike Air Force 1 Low references the editorial series “Last Orgy 2” founded by both Nigo and Takahashi in the early 1990s. Nike also confirmed that Nigo worked with designers to make this Air Force 1 look like the 2001 version of the shoe, while the navy and sail hues are a nod to the designers’ iconic “Nowhere” sign.
The project will also include a “LO2” Nike coaches jacket and a t-shirt, which appear in the images below.
“As far as I know, the Air Force 1 is one of only a few silhouettes in the world that can truly be called a timeless classic,” Nigo said about this collab in a press release. “I never imagined in my dreams that one day I would be able to express my own style through the Air Force 1.”
The “LO2” Nigo x Nike Air Force 1 and the matching apparel will be available starting on May 1 at the Design Museum in London before being released on May 2 at Humanmade.jp and Undercover stores.
