Adidas Originals has joined forces with LA-based streetwear label Menace to create a sentimental Superstar collab ahead of Mother’s Day.
Adidas confirmed that Menace founder Steven Mena dedicated this “Old Rose” Superstar collab to his mother, with the upper’s pink colorway inspired by her favorite flower. Offsetting the color scheme are white Three Stripes on the sides, along with a matching quilted sock liner and shoelaces. Completing the look is a light brown gum outsole.
“When Adidas Originals brought us to headquarters to design this shoe, the first thing I did was call my mom and ask her favorite color. Her answer became the foundation for the entire design language of our Superstar,” Mena said. “‘Old Rose’ is dedicated to my mom and the sacrifices she made so I could pursue my dream in streetwear and fashion through Menace. These shoes carry her spirit, the weight of those sacrifices, and the love that is the foundation for everything we’ve built. This one is for my mom, and for every mom out there.”
This “Old Rose” Menace x Adidas Superstar collab releases on Mother’s Day (May 10) via Confirmed and at Menacelosangeles.com for $180.
